Why did you join the T.R.U.S.T.?
I joined the TRUST because it offered me an opportunity to reach out to others and to my community. The TRUST also allowed me a chance to reflect on who I was as a man, father, husband and son.
What does being a T.R.U.S.T. Fellow mean to you?
Being a TRUST member means for me a new beginning, a chance at redemption to reestablish a connection with the community I helped to destroy with my behavior.
What are some of your hobbies and interests?
Some of my hobbies consist of fishing, cooking, making necklaces and working with people.
What programs are you involved with other than T.R.U.S.T.?
Project Choice, Addiction Recovery counseling (ARC), Project Reach (tutoring) abd SQUIRES.
What kind of work do you do with the inside and/or outside communities?
The work inside consists of building up the men’s values and their thinking errors, bringing about change. the work dealing witht he outside is in building contacts, establishing relationships and providing donations to various causes.
How do you live up to the T.R.U.S.T. value system? How do you promote the ideals of the T.R.U.S.T. outside the workshops?
By living by the rules clearly stated that I shall do no harm to myself, y family and my community. I share all the values the TRUST promotes and stand by them.
What do you want to do after you parole? I
I would like to become more involved with kids and repeat offenders.
What are your long-term goals?
I hope to become a trained addiction counselor.
Personal message to the outside community?
America was founded on second chances and yes, even men who are incarcerated deserve second chances.
