Ray Richardson

Why did you join T.R.U.S.T.?
After going through TRUST workshops, I wanted to become a part of a positive movement.

What does being a T.R.U.S.T. member mean to you?
Being a member of T.R.U.S.T. means that I will be setting a good example to the inside and outside communities.

What are some of your hobbies, interests?
I love working with men who want to make a change in their lives. I also love to sing and play sports.

What programs are you involved in other than T.R.U.S.T.?
I'm also involved with the San Quentin Day of Peace and am a member of the San Quentin Christian Fellowship church choir.

Since coming to San Quentin what have you accomplished?
I help guys who want to better themselves and tutor them in their schoolwork. I make myself willing to help others.

How do you live up to the T.R.U.S.T. value system?
I live up to the T.R.U.S.T. value system by my walk. I let the community know that T.R.U.S.T. and its programs really work.

How do you promote the ideals of T.R.U.S.T. outside of the workshops?
I always promote T.R.U.S.T. values and help others stay out of prison.

What do you want to do after parole?
To have my own business that reaches out to at-risk youth.

What do you want the outside world to know?
Going through the T.R.U.S.T. program I learned a lot. I've become a better man with a higher education. Prison can either do two things: help you change for the better or stay in a rut. I no longer do negative things. I stay on a positive road. People can and do change. I know I have.
