                                WHO WE ARE

The TRUST Fellows are a group of twenty to twenty-five men who have undergone intensive training in anger management, self evaluation, financial literacy, time management, and substance abuse counseling. In December of 2003, the San Quentin TRUST became a recognized organization at San Quentin. On September 20, 2004, the TRUST Fellows began facilitating workshops to the prison population with the assistance of area-specific professionals from surrounding communities. The TRUST Fellows are recognized as peer mentors to other incarcerated men. As mentors or citizens returning to their communities, the TRUST Fellows live by their acronym: Teaching Responsibility Utilizing Sociological Training. They also serve as liaisons between the prison population and various sponsor groups. The TRUST  promotes fund raisers, health fairs, cultural events, self-help education classes, and re-entry management. Classes/workshops are held once a week and facilitated by TRUST Fellows and community professionals.
