"The breathing activity was relaxing after the second week.  But controlling my thinking was difficult."

 

"I tried the sound practice in my cell, but there’s so much loudness...on the yard it was easier, I could hear my shoes on the ground, on the gravel, I could hear my breathing."

 

“That’s the beauty of these practices. No matter how much we think we know, we can always learn something new (about ourselves) through basic practice because there is nothing basic about meditation."

 

"I'm slowly changing into a new me. These exercises give me a chance to accept the situation that I'm in, deal with it without the stress and move on."

 

"All through the day I hear the same sounds like a radio, keys jiggling, cell doors...normally these sounds... are a nuisance but with this sound practice it makes it all soothing"
